Stella Aquila

Media: La La LUNE (original story)

Stella Aquila (she/her) is a magical girl from the stars, tasked with protecting dreams from Nightmares. She fights alongside the other members of the Summer Triangle Trio, Cygnus and Lyra. Aquila's civilian name is Dahlia.

La La LUNE is an original story about children of the stars that protect the Earth from Nightmares, which are rogue cosmic dust touched by the Great Rift.

Design

The constellation myth of Aquila focuses on the eagle that carried the thunderbolts of Zeus, king of the gods. Aquila's design utilizes both Zeus and the eagle. Her design has been entirely revamped from previous iterations.

Aquila's overall design is meant to have a princess-like feel, tying back to how Zeus is the King of the Gods. Her star headpiece is centered in her hair, resembling a crown. While Aquila and Cygnus both have bird themes, no two elements are the same. For Aquila, both sets of her sleeves mimic wings. The coattail of her dress emulates tail feathers. The folds of the skirt are feathers as well. Aquila's shoes are a mix between both parts of Zeus; the straps are much like Greek sandals, but the overall shape is similar to children's 'princess shoes'.

Lyra's bladed staff's power, like all Stella weapons, comes from the crystal, with hers being both bladed ends. The crystal is composed of the same cosmic dust properties that the Stellas are born from, with each weapon's crystal properties being from that Stella's constellation. The crystal blades are lightning shaped, much like the ones the eagle from the myth carries.
